Completely unique and truly one-of-a-kind, Twin Elk is a sprawling, secluded mountain home that will take your breath away. Built into the graceful curve of the mountain slope, Twin Elk blends seamlessly with the evergreen surroundings. Dappled sunshine glints off the windows and glass doors. The stone and timber facade is rustic yet elegant. Located between two superior ski runs, you';ll have complete privacy combined with effortless access to the surrounding trails and slopes.
The gently curved driveway leads up to a covered portico and four-car garage. Stately, double wrought-iron front doors welcome you to the manor. In the living area, a wall of custom windows and glass doorways showcases the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain peaks.
A stone hearth and rugged wood beams create a warm, chalet-like vibe. Relax by the fire on the velvety sofa or one of the leather armchairs with a glass of wine in the evenings. A large flatscreen television is mounted on the hearth and is ideal for catching the game or your favorite show.
In the chef-worthy kitchen, a huge marble island is topped with a bespoke carved wood vent hood. There's bar seating for five, two sinks, and an industrial gas range and refrigerator. A built-in breakfast nook will be the place everyone gathers in their robes while waiting for the morning coffee to brew. An additional pantry space has a wine fridge and a whimsical harlequin backsplash. Around the corner, a formal dining space has room for ten people, a stone fireplace, and gorgeous mountain views.
Outside through the glass doors, a spacious and sunny deck invites you to sit and stay awhile-; and breathe in the crisp mountain air. There's plenty of comfy seating and an outdoor fireplace to gather around and roast marshmallows in the twilight-or grill some juicy barbecue at the built-in gas range. In the warmer months, you can host memorable alfresco dinners under the stars at the outdoor dining table.
In the private master suite, a king-size bed is set into a rustic wood frame. A sunny bay window creates a small seating area, and the fireplace is very cozy on colder nights. A flatscreen television and private patio space make this room feel like a secluded sanctuary. The ensuite master bathroom features two separate vanity sinks, a vintage-inspired tub, and a sparkling clean step-in shower surrounded by marble and glass.
Another bedroom suite has tons of sleeping space- including a king-size bed and a stylish ensuite bath. The next bedroom has a twin bunk bed and is the ideal sleeping space for a nanny or children. A fun bunk room that sleeps seven is next- with one twin-over-queen bunk and two twin-over-twin size bunks. There's also a complete pilot's quarters with two twin beds and a plush king-size bed. This space offers a full living room and kitchenette. Finally, the last three bedrooms all feature plush queen-size beds.
Twin Elk is sprawling and spacious- with tons of bonus space for large groups to spread out. A media room/game room has a full-size pool table sitting next to a stone fireplace. Across the room, a huge flatscreen television faces an overstuffed leather sofa. Pop a huge bowl of buttery popcorn and sink down here for a double feature. There's also a private office space with seating for two that's ideal for completing remote work or school projects. Outside, a bubbly hot tub is a perfect place to soothe your sore muscles after a full day on the ski slopes.
Although private, secluded, and completely enchanting, Twin Elk is located close to everything. You'll be steps away from some world-class ski runs and epic hiking trails. And for a night out on the town or an afternoon of shopping, historic downtown Telluride is a short drive away. At Twin Elk, all the magic of the Rocky Mountains is at your fingertips.
