A Telluride weekend getaway is just the right amount of time to get into vacation mode as you hit the slopes or hike a mountain, enjoy some exceptional food, and stroll around town. Throw in an in-home spa treatment or a special meal prepared by a private chef, and it's a complete wellness reset.

How available are weekend rentals?

Off-peak periods are the ideal time to secure a short-term villa rental – like the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas, late spring when kids are still in school, and autumn months when aspen trees turn yellow and gold. Book ahead to score deals on popular festival weekends around the Telluride Jazz Festival and the Blues and Brews Festival.

Where can I stay?

A ski-in, ski-out condo in Mountain Village on the banks of a ski run, a pet-friendly downtown Telluride cottage, a cozy two-bedroom condo within walking distance of the town park and hiking trails – whatever kind of vacation you imagine, we'll bring it to life for you. With our portfolio of luxury villas and contemporary condos, our specialists can create the perfect tone for a weekend escape to Colorado.

What can I do in a weekend?

A better question is what can't you do? Mix and match the best of Telluride in a simple weekend itinerary that's tailor-made for the season.

Friday

  • Check in and then walk Colorado Avenue, Telluride's charming main street lined with Victorian-era buildings, galleries and boutiques. The views of the surrounding box canyon walls are especially dramatic when covered in snow.
  • Before sunset, hop on the free gondola up to Mountain Village – it runs until midnight and takes about 12 minutes with a stop at San Sophia Station. Come back down for dinner at Petite Maison, a cozy French bistro where the French onion soup and coq au vin are standouts.

Saturday

  • Fuel up early at The Butcher & The Baker with pastries or an egg sandwich, and then head to the mountain.
  • For skiers, Telluride has terrain for every level, from bunny hills to some of the most challenging double-blacks in Colorado. In the summer, Telluride's mountain bike network is one of Colorado's best, from beginner-friendly routes through wildflower-filled meadows to technical singletrack that will push experienced riders to their limits.
  • After skiing, stay up in Mountain Village for après-ski at Alloy Kitchen for great mountain views and cocktails by the fireplace.

Sunday

  • Start with a relaxed breakfast at LIZ, a Mediterranean café perfect for easing into the day. Then hike the Bear Creek Trail, a 4.5-mile round-trip trail from the south end of Pine Street to Bear Creek Falls. In the afternoon, make your way out to Bridal Veil Falls, Colorado's tallest free-falling waterfall. Wrap it all up with a farewell dinner at The Grand for seasonal Colorado cuisine.

In between dining and exploring, your villa is your home away from home, where your reservation agent can incorporate more lavish luxuries all weekend long. Reach out to us to find what's available, and we'll start planning.
