Great features include deep tunnels, caves and an incredible reef that is teeming with marine life. You can expect to swim among colorful tropical fish, sea turtles and dolphins. When you’re done exploring the deep, check out the granite islands that are home to several species of birds that include pelicans, parrots and various other birds.
4. Vallarta Art Walk
This city truly embraces the arts, and this is a great way to see all of the best galleries. Each Wednesday, from 6 to 10 p.m., art lovers are invited to take a free, self-guided tour of nine excellent art galleries. While much of Puerto Vallarta has been updated and modernized, this particular section of the city gives you a wonderful taste of the old days.
