  • Bridal Veil Falls Trail: Embark on a 2-mile out-and-back hiking adventure on this Bridal Veil Falls trail. It takes an average of an hour and a half to complete this moderately challenging hike. The peak times to enjoy this hiking trail are between May and October.

On top of Bridal Veil Falls sits the picturesque Smuggler-Union Hydroelectric Power Plant. It was built in 1907 and generated power for the Smuggler-Union Mining Company until the 1950s. This was one of Colorado’s most important mineral producers during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. This is the last surviving structure from this historic mineral producer. Today the Bridal Veil Falls power plant supplies renewable energy for the San Miguel Power Association.
