Activities in Punta Mita: world class golf + the Residents Beach Club

We get a lot of prospective guests asking “what is there to do in Punta Mita?”. The list is so long and exhaustive, I thought I would take it to the blog! Let me paint the picture for you: you wake up in the morning to the sounds of the waves crashing gently on the beach in front of your home. You have left the doors and windows of your suite open so that the fresh salty breeze from the Pacific floats through your windows in the morning. Downstairs, the chef has prepared fresh fruit, smoked salmon, croissants & coffee. Before breakfast, you take a walk or jog along the sands of the private, patrolled beach in front of your villa. There is barely a soul around. You then cool down by taking a quick dip in the ocean out the front of your house (or in the pool, take your pick!). When you return to the villa, your family is having breakfast, and deciding what the day has in store…

GOLF: One of Punta Mita’s most impressive accolades is that it features not one, but two Jack Nicklaus signature golf course within the gates of the Four Seasons & St Regis resorts.  Access to the Pacifico & Bahia golf courses, and the Club de Golf is exclusive to Punta Mita homeowners, renters and guests staying at the two resorts. Guests of Punta Mita Luxury Rentals are of course included! For more details and pricing, visit the golfing section of our website. FISHING: The tip of Punta de Mita peninsula sits at the north end of Banderas Bay. Trophy Fish are found on the outside of Banderas Bay. Inside the bay you will find Dorado, Tuna, Sailfish, Wahoo, Snapper, Grouper, Roosterfish, Mackerel, Amberjack, and several other varieties. Pangas are available for half day trips and full day trips. Some of the best fly fishing for Dorado exists in these waters. The locals have established anchored habitat about 3 miles offshore. It’s the perfect “stop” for dorado on their migration. It provides countless hours of entertainment. Pop a streamer or popper out there as the captain baits the water with sardinas and you’ll be in for the ride of your life! There is also deep sea fishing and spear fishing. For people who don’t want to go out on a boat; surf fishing and fly fishing are viable alternatives here too—cast your line from the beach and see what you can catch. This is an especially popular pastime early in the mornings. For full details, read more about fishing in Punta Mita . RESIDENTS BEACH CLUB: Guests of Punta Mita Luxury Rentals enjoy access to the Resident’s Beach Club, located on the beach within the gates of the Four Seasons & St Regis Resorts. Reserved exclusively for property owners and their guests, the Resident’s Beach Club presents welcoming gathering places distinguished by beachfront locales, separate swimming pools for adults and children, dining facilities, men’s and women’s locker rooms, and other amenities that make a day or an evening at the shore all the more inviting. With one Resident’s Beach Club overlooking the Pacific Ocean, another looking out towards Litigu Bay, they represent an experience available only to a privileged few. Club Punta Mita Members can now enjoy daily surf pick-up and drop-off each morning at no charge, along with complimentary use of kayaks, snorkel gear, boogie boards and kites. A complimentary introductory scuba experience is also offered at the pool (all gear is provided). And, all of these opportunities are available to your guests or rental occupants at nominal charges. Additionally, the Ocean Activities Coordinator is happy to arrange daily guided kayak tours and guided snorkel tours to members and guests at deeply discounted rates. Visit our website for full details on the amenities and services offered at the Resident’s Beach Club.
