Opening Day at Telluride Ski Resort

Plans to kick off the exciting 2018-2019 ski season in stunning Telluride, Colorado, has been set for Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 22, and the Telluride Ski Resort has confirmed that the weather has decided to cooperate. The snow has been falling since the middle of October, and as of Monday, Nov. 12, a beautiful four feet of natural snowfall had settled on the slopes. That makes for extremely favorable snowmaking conditions, and skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts will definitely want to plan on being in town for the beginning of an incredible new ski season in the amazing San Juan Mountains.

Donation Day

The fun actually starts a day early on Wednesday, Nov. 21, for those who want to participate in Donation Day. This yearly event takes 100% of the proceeds from the lift ticket sales and donates it to the Telluride Ski and Snowboard Club, which provides coaching and training for children in both skiing and snowboarding. Three lifts will be open on Donation Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and lift tickets will be $25 per person. Season passes are not accepted on Donation Day.
