Spanish Grand Prix has been scheduled for May 11-13 just 12 miles from Barcelona's city center in the town of Montmelo. The practice round is scheduled for Friday, followed by the qualifying round on Saturday and the actual race on Sunday. This is an awesome family friendly activity, and it's never too early to make your vacation plans to coincide with this popular event.
A Great Start to Racing Season
The Formula One Spanish Grand Prix is the official race that starts off Spain's exciting racing season every year, and it's been held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya motor-sport racetrack since all the way back in 1991. This racetrack is made for thrills with long straights, long corners and 16 turns, and each driver must make 66 complete laps to successfully complete the race. This race is among the most exciting in the world because the Formula 1 race cars are made for speed, can hit more than 60 miles per hours in 2 quick seconds and have been known to reach speeds of more than 200 miles per hour in the qualifying rounds.
Get Your Tickets
The stands at the racetrack can only accommodate 140,700 individuals, and demand for tickets is always high. Tickets are available for all three days or individual days, and those lodging with us here at Exceptional Stays may request that our dedicated concierge team lock in your tickets early before they are all sold out. Those who choose a 3-day Pass may also expect the special privilege of going into the Pit Lane to watch the mechanics work on the cars on the Thursday before the official race days begin, and the children often enjoy the thrill of a lifetime when they are allowed to assist the mechanics with a simple task when time permits.
