Scheduled each year after Spain's many Easter festivities, Barcelona's April Fair begins in the last week of April and runs all the way through the first week of May. Activities and events are held daily at the Parc del Forum festival grounds, which are easy to find in the Diagonal Mar neighborhood of Barcelona's Sant Marti district. This popular Andalusian food and dance festival has much to offer both adults and children, and the large Ferris wheel, carnival games and other fun rides are just the beginning.
There are also usually around 70 large marquee tents set up, and each offers something different and wonderful. Visitors may expect to enjoy live musical performances by Spain's top talent, street performers, special activities for children, fireworks, parades of brilliantly decked-out Spanish horses and riders and an abundance of food and wine vendors. Professional flamenco dancers light up the streets with their colorful costumes as well, and every man, woman and child in attendance is invited to dance right along with them.
