When Christina Casas first arrived in Telluride, Colorado in 1997, she was inspired by the dramatic, mountainous landscape and welcoming community that was thriving in the box canyon. This inspiration was the beginning of an entrepreneurial vision that would soon become a reality due to Christina’s passion and tenacious work ethic. In 2001, Christina founded Telluride Rentals, a local vacation rental company specializing in creating deep interpersonal connections with homeowners and guests alike. Christina started her journey humbly with just 3 homes in Telluride, managing and booking them on her own. She quickly began to expand her inventory, growing the company and allowing her to hire her first employees. Through her hard work and her aptitude for hospitality, Christina made her mark in Telluride and was known to make everyone feel at home and welcome in town.
As her success grew locally, her reputation as a trail blazing entrepreneur quickly spread overseas. In 2010, she added 2 premier villas in Mexico to her portfolio under the company Punta Mita Luxury Rentals, however, it wasn’t long until she expanded to managing over 10 homes in Mexico. As the two companies in Telluride and Mexico began to grow side by side, Christina found herself drawn back to her roots in Spain, igniting the conception of another vacation rental company, Luxury Barcelona. In Spain, Christina manages some of the Country’s most premier and exclusive estates. Her personal connection with owners and guests alike fueled her international growth and expanded her unique approach to the business of luxury hospitality. In 2017, she merged the 3 management companies to form one unified powerhouse, Exceptional Stays. Today, Exceptional Stays is proud to manage 135 homes across the world in Telluride Colorado, Punta de Mita México, Spain, Provence France and Gstaad Switzerland.
Christina’s passion for luxury travel, along with her entrepreneurial spirit and extensive knowledge of the industry, has allowed her to build a successful enterprise focused on the creation of authentic travel experiences. Exceptional stays has been recognized through various press articles for its world-class service, has over 350 5-star reviews, and VRBO premier superhost status.
Educated at the University of Colorado, Pepperdine University in California, and receiving her MBA from IESE, one of Europe’s top business schools, Christina began her journey as a cutting-edge businesswoman. Since then, she has inspired women from Telluride to Spain and back, and she has made her own dream come true. With the knowledge, passion and dedication that Christina possesses, we are grateful for her mark in our community and imprint in our lives.
